"Large" fitness instructors

A lot of Olympic athletes are "large." And there are Williams sisters... Nobody doubts their fitness abilities.

I used to be fit and learned from the best. Even though I'm not very fit now, I still retain the knowledge. Suppose I found the time (between three kids) to exercise and eat right and over the course of 6 months lost 30 lbs and became very fit, utilizing the techniques I learned previously. Are you trying to say that as a fat person I was not qualified to be a trainer, but I was suddenly qualified 6 months later by virtue of simply being fit? Where does the knowledge base come in?

Someone built like Serena Williams? Yes.

Someone who just looks overweight or obese, no.

Exactly, if a trainer is large, but fit, you can tell. But trainers who are just flat out fat and you can tell they don't take care of themselves, no, I would not want to use them.

I echo this. I think it is very clear that we are making a distinction between fit and muscular versus just obese. There is a difference. The Williams sisters do not look obese, they are just solid muscle.
