I'd be more worried about all the construction debris (asbestos?, other carcinogens?) that will be flying around during the construction. I think it is awful that the school would remain open during an extensive renovation. That is a danger to the entire school population.

Why is everyone afraid to ask those questions of MCPS? I also think that the entire school will be at risk, but so far I have heard "don't rock the boat, we are lucky to get this addition".

Deborah from MCPS Dept. of Facilities told the parents that in order to ensure a smooth process, they must not be obnoxious. What she probably meant was don't complain, don't raise too many questions, etc.
