Does Child Support in Maryland End at 18 or Does it Continue into College?

If you have a child with a disability it might not end at all. An 18 year old down syndrome is not financially independent

Except that if it's in the agreement it means you're obligated even if your kid makes no effort to maintain a relationship and/or is a total screw up.


And that's the trap of unconditional love. I told my son that if he ever got caught on news cameras throwing a burning trashcan through a store window, that I would be the parent on the next day's news denying everything and declaring him to be a "good boy."
