did you structure college funding in your support agreement? if so, how?

In my agreement, we agree that each party will contribute 50% of the then-current costs of our state university towards each child's college education.

If one parent wishes to contribute more, s/he can.

My divorce lawyer told me that we can agree to this but that it is not enforceable, should one of the parties opt not to pay anything - that no judge will force a parent to pay for education for an 18yo+ child.
