DOULA FOR BIG BABY?

Anonymous
I can recommend Lori Cooper. I believe her business is called Transitions Birth (or something like that).

I believe that people should be more involved and informed about their medical care. It doesn't matter if I see my OB, my primary or an allergist. I have usually done research before I went in there and ask specific questions. They function like lawyers. I come in, they make recommendations and I make my own decisions. We are not at odds. For insurance reasons, I am seeing an OB for prenatal and using a midwife for delivery.

Did you use her services for her prior birth? I'm thinking about calling her for my own upcoming birth. Was she fairly proactive in suggesting different positions, etc?

Agreed! I couldn't have done it without her. She's incredibly knowledgeable, very "go-with-the-flow", and genuinely supportive of whatever moms want.

I want to avoid a C-section and think I could use a doula for extra help with a vaginal delivery. I know it is very late but I would appreciate a doula recommendation or other advice.

Have you had your baby yet? If not and if you are still looking for a doula, maybe I can help. I am currently on call through this Sunday afternoon. If you are in a bind after Sunday, let me know! Shereen (Shereen3838@aol.com)
