I can recommend Lori Cooper. I believe her business is called Transitions Birth (or something like that).
I believe that people should be more involved and informed about their medical care. It doesn't matter if I see my OB, my primary or an allergist. I have usually done research before I went in there and ask specific questions. They function like lawyers. I come in, they make recommendations and I make my own decisions. We are not at odds. For insurance reasons, I am seeing an OB for prenatal and using a midwife for delivery. |
Did you use her services for her prior birth? I'm thinking about calling her for my own upcoming birth. Was she fairly proactive in suggesting different positions, etc? |
Agreed! I couldn't have done it without her. She's incredibly knowledgeable, very "go-with-the-flow", and genuinely supportive of whatever moms want. |
Have you had your baby yet? If not and if you are still looking for a doula, maybe I can help. I am currently on call through this Sunday afternoon. If you are in a bind after Sunday, let me know! Shereen (Shereen3838@aol.com) |
