Get a load of this. It's absolutely disturbing how the highly paid DCPS Central Office staff covered up the test score fiasco. Do you have any idea how much Erin McGoldrick, the Chief of Data and Accountability earns?!

Fascinating. So what I gain from this is that after the reams of data were analyzed, the answer was to beef up test taking security measures, with no plan to discipline principals at schools where the obvious cheating was taking place.

This whole fiasco is the product of Michelle Rhee's single-minded focus of raising test scores. To all of the data junkies on this forum, you now have exactly what you deserve -- bad data and mediocre schools.

If you had been concerned about the things that really count for education --high-quality curriculum, excellent resources, a teacher recruitment and development program that makes sense, we would not be here today.
