OP here - thanks for the suggestions everyone. Perhaps I used the wrong word when I said "elope", we are looking for a "just the two of us" trip.

To the PP who had the fabulous-sounding New Zealand trip -- mind if I ask how much it cost? If so, stop reading now. How much did it cost?

We got married on Tortola in the BVI. It was just the two of us on the beach, with a celebrant, witness (hotel owner) and photographer.
