Montessori Children's Center Falls Church-- What is your experience?

Completely agree with the other families. This is not a Montessori preschool but a daycare with 1h30 of "work time" in the morning.
This was the only Montessori with extended hours and space when we were looking for care for our toddler and we have been happy with the teachers but the new director is definitely not qualified to run this school.
He gets a very high turnover of families thanks to DoS and Pentagon facilities being just down the street but his sudden price changes and attitude have made a good number of families leave recently, which is a shame.
If you recently moved in the area and are having a hard time finding a place, this school will be a great option until you can get into your first choice but if you are looking for true Montessori, more reasonable pricing, and a community feel, you may want to look a little bit more. That being said, the teachers are very warm and caring and deserve way more recognition than they probably get.
The kids don't get a lot of time outside and their policy on letting sick kids come to school is not very strict but those are common flaws of among daycare centers.
Everytime I went to pick up my kid, the director was "making his rounds", ordering people around and only engaging conversation when it is about money. Pretty sure he also posted the review about "third generation ownership". If you take the director out of the equation, this school is actually pretty good.

This is a great school!
Our son has been with FCM since he was 12 months and he is almost 4 now. We still remember his first day there, he was the youngest in the class; the teachers welcomed him and us and ever since have treated him like family. Over these years, our son was given so much of love and at the same time was taught good values and discipline. The management is always improving the place, taking parents feedback into account and always keeping student interest first. Our son has really enjoyed his time at FCM. We are now moving to a new city. FCM has been extremely helpful and prompt in providing any paperwork needed for transfer to the new Montessori. Also, school is open from from 7-6! Great value for money!!
We highly recommend it.
