The Heights in the OPPOSITE of Jesuit. Stay away if you are a person for others! |
Well yes, and most top Catholic high schools. SR and Visi always has may acceptances to Georgetown. |
Better chance from any public. There is no reality any Catholic school does better for college admissions than public in MCPS or FCPS. |

I think there ARE special relationships b/w Jesuit high schools and Jesuit colleges. Admissions to your average Jesuit college can be easy for most student save the most academically prestigious ones.
I have seen Gonzaga gets several Georgetown slots every year. Same for St. Joe's prep in Philly - several G'town slots every year. Having said that... does your son have the chops to be a tippy top student? If not, the special relationship won't help him. He will have admission to many fine (just not elite) Jesuit colleges from any Catholic high school. Sounds like you have your sights set on prestigious though. |
The director of admissions' daughter went to Visi. It was a guaranteed in. |
I totally disagree. There is a marked advantage for catholic schools from the DC Catholic schools. |
100% concur with this. Our school has a 35% acceptance rate to Georgetown. |
