GA adding u11-12 for Fall 26, thoughts?

All this is GA trying to compete with ECNL ... And it comes at the expense of the local leagues/system and state cup model. People complain about a money grab BUT the real problem is the ongoing search for quality development/competition and are willing to opt for it because the find the current system lacking.

I think this sucks, and that parents are going to hop around from club to club every year to move up even more than they do now. With the system as it is, clubs keep starting earlier and earlier to focus on retention by locking families in. Ironically, they also prioritize taking outside players and are greedy to suck up all the good players in the area. Its similar to the job hopping that people do, rather than staying at the same company to keep up with their peers.

Extremely dumb making families drive 2-3 hours for league games when there is plenty of competition within an hour drive for most teams.

Thats interesting. Im guessing the u12 will end up doing pre GA and EDP or something with their bloated rosters. I am guessing they planned for 11v11 so have to do weekend games 11v11 and 9v9. They did this in the past, only did 11v11 this year though.

SYC was planning to play 11v11 for the U12 group next year. I think they rostered for it.

If they are forced to participate, they will probably participate in another U13 11v11 league and participate in the Pre-GA league concurrently.
-The Pre-ECNL league is a dumpersterfire. No one likes playing in it. Too much traveling, too many blowouts. Pre-GA would be a the same.

Huh? Not a lot of blowouts when my kid played in it and not many complaints. NA actually has balanced teams compared to MA (other than HEX/Pipeline of course)

PP made me look up this year and it's not a sea of blowouts at all. The travel is pretty compressed, but maybe they're on a bottom team?

PP made me look up this year and it's not a sea of blowouts at all. The travel is pretty compressed, but maybe they're on a bottom team?
