I trust that you and your republican colleagues will dump more federal money in to the rich farmers’ pockets to grow more soy and feed grain to export to China. 1.5 million farmers receive over 210 billion a year and they still can not turn a profit. |
That's because Trump started a trade war with China (and the rest of the world) and a shooting war with Iran (that screwed up fertilizer prices for the entire world). Farmers would rather have normal trade relations and normal fertilizer prices than subsidies. That's why Osbourne is leading in Nebraska and Iowa is in play. Don't make enemies when you don't need to. |
You have to understand that farmers are Real Americans. And they live in large states with small populations. And each farming state gets their two Republican senators. So of course taxpayer money from blue states will flow to the Real Americans - millionaire farmers being paid billions to keep their soybean and corn fields fallow until they get their price. Seeing all these Trump supporting red state farmers demand ever more subsidies has made me a proponent of giant corporate farms - even foreign owned. Let the millionaire farmers go bankrupt. The land isn't going away. And then we can get a better system. These farmers are parasites with the way they vote and what they take from everyone else. |
| American farmers voted for all this. Not sure why the other 99 percent of Americans have to give them billions and billions of taxpayer money to subsidize their poor decisions. |
We don't. The Administration is doing that in order to try and forestall the massive backlash against their policies. The farmers did not want either the trade war with the world nor the shooting war with Iran. Both of which have harmed them greatly. Understand that point and use use it to your advantage. |

OK folks. Time to plant potatoes in your back yards. If you can't eat it all, you can make vodka to forget about your troubles. |
