Why are Anti Islamics ok to most people?

Why?

I’m baffled as to how Zionism is a threat to the average American when Zionism is clearly related to Israel…a place very few Americans have any connection to or interest in.

Re: evangelicals - Again, a subset of the population of a country that has become dramatically secular and whose masses couldn’t care less about religion (at least those with real ties to American culture who have embraced western ways).

It’s telling when posters over-emphasize the power and influence of religion. Practically speaking, that’s just not a “thing” in the USA among most Americans in 2026.

Are people really this dumb? Or is this the best arguments losers can come uo with?

How about $8T dollars not including the $100B+ this zionist war is going to cost?

And the zionists are literally buying up legacy companies, buildings, and land. Abre los ojos.

While I’m no fan of this war with Iran, I don’t believe it’s factually accurate to label it a Zionist war.

Your constant use of that word (presumably to incite and divide) is both exhausting and just plain sophomoric.

A better framing for this war is this: Western values vs. a religious-fueled theocracy that got too big/dangerous/influential given its funding of religious-fueled anti-Israel and anti-US interests. (Hamas, Hezbollah, and Houthis…oh my! PS - What’s with the letter H when it comes to extremist terror groups?)

Anyway, as an American who isn’t any kind of extremist, I can assure you that we aren’t zionists or islamaphobic. We’re just sick of the middle east’s constant powder-keg situation that periodically blows up thanks to the religiously fueled politics that both oppresses their own people (especially women) AND very publicly promotes “Death to America!”

^^^
That (plus oil) is basically what Americans care about when it comes to the Middle East. We just can’t understand why they haven’t evolved beyond using religion to oppress and manipulate people…particularly given our American secular culture and melting pot approach to life. Peppering your posts with “Zionism” doesn’t matter…the reality is nobody here cares that much about the things you erroneously believe drive our actions.

So dumb. Why do such a small number of people spout this BS when 8 billion other humans think otherwise? You need to travel more to other countries and ask them how they feel about Israel. Better yet, become good friends with some foreign students here at home so that they can let their guard down and tell you how they really think about it.

Btw Israel is not western by any means. It's full of white European cosplayers putting on brownface and espousing deuteronomic history in order to prove their semitic worth to each other. One gigantic cluster of a Stockholm syndrome.

Listen, I’m trying to engage with you in a respectful way with an open mind. And let’s just say you aren’t persuading anyone since you seem to have an obvious bias.

I am well traveled and my day job and credentials provide a well-rounded, bipartisan, global lens through which I analyze things.

Is your prior post meant to suggest that most of the world is comprised of zionists?

Or are you trying to say that most people around the world hates Israel/hates Zionism?

Regardless, I thought we were talking about what Americans think. I stand by my post that most Americans aren’t Zionists (heck, I doubt most Americans even know what that word means) or religious extremists, and most Americans simply equate the ME with an unstable region due to the politics of bad men who use religion to manipulate, oppress, and wreak havoc based on “Death to America” rhetoric.

Re: Israel - It’s more western than any other ME country. I mean, what’s your response to the fact that so many Persians in the US and other western nations have been begging for us to force a regime change? ICYMI: the ayatollah destroyed Iran, and the educated Persians want a more western, secular society (sound familiar?).

FTR, Americans aren’t fixated with Israel…but you seem to be…and it’s weird…telling, actually.

So we are going to expend blood and treasure and international respect to…what? Bring order to an area in which the UAE, the Saudis, Bahrain, etc, and their billions and billions of dollars already exist and could be spent to support their own objectives?

It’s quite amazing to most of America and the world that we’d live in a country where we are told that we don’t have money for our own citizens but have billions to support a single tiny country’s welfare state in the Middle East because they can’t get along with their neighbors.

It’s preposterous and criminal.

I’m the pp you quoted and I completely agree with you.

It seems like going after Iran was nothing more than leveraging an opportunity to take out the ayatollah and other leaders thanks to intel on their gathering.

I haven’t seen any Americans outside of the Administration celebrating or supporting this war (despite those who are politically savvy reluctantly agreeing Iran and the world are better off without the ayatollah long term even if that means we aren’t safer right now given increased threats of terrorism).

Nobody thinks boots on the ground is wise.

Anyway, my posts have been in response to the claims that this is a Zionist war (and seemingly that many/most Americans are islamaphobic Zionists…which obviously isn’t the case).

I’m a Jewish Zionist, who thinks the government of Israel is doing terrible things, and I think a majority of Jews, and maybe a large majority, understand that Islamophobia, Arabophobia and brownpersonphobia are the siblings of antisemitism.

Jewish people with the commonsense of a goldfish can see that over-the-top attacks on halal meat, circumcision and hijabs can affect Jews as easily as Muslims, and that China’s persecution of the Uighurs, Burma’s persecution of the Rohingya, India’s persecution of its Muslims, and Sudan’s person Christians are as vile as the old Russian pogroms against the Jews.

We need safeguards against people crashing bomb cars into both synagogues and mosques. If there are Jews in this thread who minimize the problem of Islamophobia or Muslims who minimize the problem of antisemitism, that’s just a reflection of the fact that there are good people and jerks in all societies.

when will Jews give Palestinians the right to vote?

An Israeli minister has suggested that Palestinians should not have "national rights", including the right over land and voting.

In an interview with the newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, Israeli Minister of Settlements and National Missions Orit Strock outlined her plans to annex as much land as possible in the occupied West Bank under the incoming Trump administration, saying that Palestinians would have "full individual rights, not national rights".

i just visited Sachsenhausen concentration camp

Israel is the same as Hitler, treating non jews as not real human beings, and stealing their property.

The simple fact is, there are almost no physical attacks in America on jews period. If there were, the feds would be busting up neighborhood "gangs" all over the country. Similar to how a fake Iranian threat has led to an illegal war that should have been avoided if not for other false propaganda.

Evangelicals have hijacked our government and foreign policy. The right embraces Israel for the rapture, not out of any love for Jews. Evangelicals are also imposing their anti-choice world view on to women across the country who do not follow their faith or medical beliefs.

Are you kidding me? Religious extremism plagues our society just as much as any middle Eastern country. Human beings, regardless of what religion they practice, have a really hard time understanding that religion is personal. It is meant to inform YOUR values, and to convict YOUR behavior. It is NOT meant to be a cudgel you use to control the behavior of others.

You dont believe in abortions? Don't get one.

You dont believe in gay marriage? Don't get gay married.

But leave other people alone!

Stop acting like this problem only exists for Muslims and in Muslim countries. Religion is a curse under which we all suffer because you simpletons can keep your damn fairytales to yourselves.

God is not real. Religion is a tool of oppression. There are no virgins awaiting you for murdering people. And God did not promise any land to you.
