| Over my dad body |
| I had some terrible sleepover experiences when I was about 10 and just, no. I know from experience sometimes it's then other kids you need to watch out for (friend of a friend). |
|
Every weekend for my oldest (girl, 13). My son is 10 and has just started having/going to sleepovers this year but has done maybe one a month.
Always with the same kids. |
|
We did a ton of them. No issue for us. So long as we were free that weekend. |
|
We do them about 4-6 times per month but I have two kids so a little more than 1 per month each at our house plus an equal amount at their friend's houses.
My kids are 7 and 9 so my rule is that the TV goes off at 9 and they start making their way to bed at that point. In bed, lights out by 9:30 where they can talk but at 10:00 there is no more talking and everyone needs to be quiet. |
| Not on my watch. |
Dramatic much? |
| Never. They've spent plenty of time in sleeping in strange beds in hotels, vrbos, relatives houses, cabins and camping tents. The "novel sleeping arrangements" box has been thoroughly checked. They prefer to sleep in their own beds. |
|
Never.
Is this something that is more popular among girls? Our third grader DS has never gone to a sleepover and has never asked to host one either, even though he has a lot of friends. I do recall doing them when I was a kid. |
| Yes it’s for the kewl girls |
| We don't do sleepovers. I went to lots of sleepovers as a kid and I was fine, but I've learned a lot and while I would love for them to be able to do that, I don't want them going to someone else's home, so we don't allow others at our home either. |
| Never. |
| never |
|
We only say yes if it is a birthday party, it is a close friend and we know the parents.
So my kids have been to a few sleepovers, but not a ton. |
| Family only and rarely, like once a year. My kid practices a sport before school, so they are typically in bed by 7 pm, and the rhythm carries through the weekend. I also don't like the risk or liability of sleepovers. |
