Yes I went to Amherst and most people in my hometown then suggested if I transferred to a community college maybe I could use that to get into our state school. I went to Yale for graduate school and it was about 50-50 if people knew what that was.

I grew up in Southern California and went to Dartmouth and everyone around me (my parents' friends and neighbors) told me it's too bad that I couldn't get into UCLA or USC.

yes and if someone cared about what they think - should go to Ole Miss or Bama
