Not a doctor, but your post indicates a complete lack of understanding of the ways in which the healthcare industry has screwed both patients and doctors. Every concierge doctor I know had been in the trenches for 20 + years, managing 800 or more patients before the switch. It’s madness. |
800? More like 1800. Physicians don't specialize in primary care if they are after the big bucks. Most switch to concierge for increased autonomy and/or the ability to spend time caring for patients - which you can't do when an employer mandates 20-24 appointments daily. |
