Done and home...all is well. One small thing Dr is not concerned about.

GL! Mine is 9am on Wednesday. I'm eating light today, then liquid tomorrow. I tried the MiraLax in plain water as a test and it just tasted like water.

I am thinking about doing 1/2 in water and 1/2 in Gatorade.

I have something called Suprep. DH says it's vile.

I had Suprep at mine 5 years ago and it went a LOT better than the Magnesium Citrate I had used previously before a laparscopic abdominal surgery. The doctor said I was really cleaned out well fwiw.

Great to hear! I have been liquid only today. Just took the Dulcolax an hour ago. Starting the 64 oz soon. -OP

I didn't think it was bad at all. Yes, you go to the bathroom more but it's not painful or terrible.

My stomach area hurts after the prep and colonoscopy. I had black coffee on basically an empty stomach? Could I have irritated the stomach? Feel like an ulcer sort of.

I also didn't think it was bad at all. Had the same prep as OP.

TIP: Artic Cherry gatorade. Put in freezer for a bit to make it slushy.

Thank you! Very easy and all good. Glad to have it behind me.

Black coffee on a post colonoscopy stomach (SO very empty) can't be good. I'm not a doctor, but I would take Tums or something to sooth the stomach. And eat light, bland meals.

I'm the OP and I diluted the Gatorade so I had 1/2 Gatorade to 1/2 spring water mixed with the MiraLax, and that made it so easy. I wasn't overpowered by so much straight Gatorade. I had broth and jello during the day, and did light exercising (very careful in case I felt dizzy--but fortunately didn't) when I felt hungry. That took the edge off. And I'm talking Tai Chi sort of movement of the body.

I don't think you can have red Gatorade. No red, orange or purple.

It’s not red; Glacier Cherry is a pale gray color.

NP hopping on this poop train to commiserate about colonoscopy prep. My doctor gave me the pills so I didn’t have the terrible liquid. I’m drowning in fluids though! Good grief.

I’m just drinking water - I don’t like Gatorade or other sweet liquids. Should I worry I’m not going to be hydrated enough?

I ate really lightly/bland/boring yesterday and was hungry even before I went to bed!. Then nothing but broth and popsicles so far today.
Weirdly I’m not even hungry anymore. Just full up with water and hanging around the bathroom.

Those who have done this before - how long does it take to get to the “it looks like urine” phase? I do my second dose of pills tomorrow morning (appt is at 3) and I’m worried it won’t be in time to get to the right stage.

This is such a bizarre post. But I’m proud of myself for doing it. I had a complete mental block about it- even after kids and mammograms and surgeries? Something about this had me so freaked out I even would make appointments and then not keep them- for 9 years! So I feel like a grown up. I am doing a hard thing that I am scared of because it’s the right thing to do. Thanks for listening, DCUM.
