| Too much work for too little payoff. |
Isn't it interesting how old school this is?? A retreat in the images- overload world. |
Never works for me. I successfully used https://postimages.org/ in the past here, but mod must have banned it. |
|
Lots of stupid on DCUM.
|
And copyright questions |
| I would love more pics on here- attention, Jeff! - but agree it’s too difficult/time consuming. Maybe the site will get a refresh and it’ll become more intuitive/easier. |
Like the poster showing how easy it is, but messed it up right? |
I showed you what NOT to do Then, I did show you how easy it was
|
And to add - pics are cool (like the snow)
|
Why didn't you? |
+1, most people don't even know how to embed a photo or video into their posts, which the site actually makes extra easy using the HTML editor. So posting their own photo is obviously beyond them. That said, I never post my own photos on here because I like the anonymity of this website. It is a relief in the age of social media to have a site you can post to where you are truly unidentifiable. Don't worry, I use this for good not evil (I'm not bullying people or using anonymity to be a jerk that I wouldn't be in real life). But it's a relief. It's like walking around in NYC on a business trip, coming from a tight knit community where you can't leave your house without running into people you know. It just feels nice to feel like people don't have assumptions and preconceptions about you based on their prior interactions with you. |
| I would try more often if there was an edit feature for posts. |
|
I've tried uploading personal pics (of pets, requested by posters) and haven't been able to.
I do know how to post pics I find on the internet, lately of predicted snowfall maps. |
Yeah, I've tried using host sites and it never works. |
That's a publicly available pic, so easy to copy and paste the link and use the image button available right above the posting box. But personal pics... like of your own snowy yard, I've never been able to. |
