| Don't a lot of those teams play multiple leagues still. At U13 that completely stops. |
| A cousin quit around that age because the other girls were intolerable. Just rude, cliquey, and toxic so it wasn't fun anymore. I was sad to see her quit because she was good and liked it so much but she just couldn't stand the other girls anymore. A lot of the comments were related to her body type. |

If rec soccer was possible, my daughter would love it. She’s an RL player with zero desire to play in college. She’s quitting after this season to just play high school sports.
The money and commitment of club sports don’t make sense in HS if you aren’t at least thinking of college play. |

Middle/high school change over, and the pandemic in particular for these kids.
The drop across sports happens around this time frame.. |
I commend this decision. The expense and commitment for RL/ Aspire is bonkers if the outcome is not playing in college. I know she will love the decision and thrive in HS, especially with all the extra time and less wear and tear on her body. This is one of the most sensible comments made recently. |
Thats so sad. But yes we have 2 alpha females on the team, at U12, and my DD thinks they are insufferable. One is always barking orders at everyone and constantly criticizing everyone. The whole team detests both players. My DD is ready to switch teams because of it. Hopefully we find the right fit, otherwise I can see the love of the game becoming spoiled because of it. |
It does, but the trend continues until all the GA & GA Aspire, ECNL and ECNL RL Teams and NAL teams all leave NCSL. Which would make it appear, (to the OP and others) that there is a huge decline in female players past U13. When, part of the circumstances has a lot of teams just moving to other leagues. |
