If you wanted the correct answer you could’ve just asked Grok and got it right the first time |
More like defensive people who have stock in AI companies. |
+1 Incredible ignorance all over this thread |
OP here. I don’t really care that ChatGPT 5.2 is a bad model. It is. I know that. But it has 68% market share, so pointing out its deficits is worthwhile. |
Meanwhile I take it seriously that Michael Burry (of The Big Short fame) has millions in put options on Nvidia and Palantir. |

I've used ChatGPT with mixed results and I put in the same prompt and got the same answer to walk. I've said it won't take over the world anytime soon, but I have to say I was still surprised.
When I followed up with "How will I get my car washed?" it responded: Ahhh 😄 okay — now we’re thinking properly. If you walk there, you can’t exactly bring the car with you. So here’s the real answer: 🚗 You should drive the car the 25 meters. But… Don’t overthink it. It’s totally fine to drive 25 meters when the purpose is to wash the car. The “don’t drive short distances” advice applies when the car doesn’t need to move. In this case, moving the car is literally the goal. So yes — get in, drive the epic 25 meters, get it washed, and try not to feel like you’re making the shortest road trip in history 😄 |
I have called you out multiple times - you are just parroting a very viral meme (which is old) about how AI sucks. I don't care that you typed it today, you're just as bad as the "tech bros" (which I am definitely not LOL). You have an agenda so just be up front about it. You didn't discover anything, you're just parroting a dumb viral post. |
Funny enough even a basic google search knows it's a "classic AI trap"
Again, just calling you out for posting one dumb issue that will be completely different very soon. |
I just gave you it in the recent posts |
| Just thinking about the water involved here. |

I often find myself arguing with the chat bot lol. I had a bad experience at a restaurant and wanted to "calm down" my email to the mgr, so put it through one of these. It ended up making it longer, so I asked if it could cut it down to 2000 words or characters or whatever it needed.
It wrote an entirely different email, detailing a wonderful experience ie the exact opposite of what I had? And was emailing about? I was like wtf, where did this crap come from. So yeah. Not perfect, and sometimes barely in reality. |

I got
Whether you should walk or drive 25 meters depends primarily on why you are going. If you are dropping off the vehicle: You must drive. A car wash requires the vehicle to be present for the service [1, 2]. If you are going to pay, check wait times, or talk to staff: You should walk. 25 meters is roughly 30–40 steps and takes less than 30 seconds [4, 5]. Driving such a short distance is inefficient, as starting the engine for a 25-meter trip can contribute to unnecessary engine wear over time [3]. Recommendation: If the car is staying at home and you just need information, walk. If you want the car cleaned, you must drive [1, 6]. |
Congrats on “calling me out.” I don’t care that this is an old thing. The ChatGPT output I shared was from my instance of ChatGPT and it was from yesterday. The fact that it is making that mistake is concerning. |
I’m not sure what you think you’re proving here. I never claimed to have discovered something novel. |
| Go look at your OP - you just happened to type that? Nope, just copying a meme. |
