Hey troll, go away. |
Are you able to read? In your ridiculous example, where is your domicile? NY? VA? What if you were kidnapped by aliens for 1 month out of every fiscal quarter? Just stop. |
Ok so first no, kids in DC don't get instate tuition at any school. There is a federal program which gives DC residents 10k towards out of state tuition which is what they have for every public university. VA generally has high instate tuition compared to other states. Also UVA and VT are hard to get into depending on which high school your child goes to. Are you ok with the other VA public options like JMU, VCU, ODU, Longwood, Radford, etc? There are a lot of options but are you open to them? If you move out of VA you will be liable for paying out of state tuition. Will you get caught if you don't? No one knows but that is a risk you will have to accept. |
Check out Finland. |
[b] She didn’t say she told the school. Her parents moved for a job. The employer files employment records with the IRS, indicating state taxes paid and local address. You must live in the Commonwealth for at least a year to take advantage of in-state tuition. If it were as easy as OP wants it, everyone would do that, no? Btw when my kids got into GMU and IVA we had to provide proof as in our deed and payment of property taxes, as well as our state returns. |
They do - because when caught she thinks she can say “well the consultant made me do it” |
| I can’t vouch for this outfit but it exists — https://www.instateme.com/ (I was trying to figure out if we had a chance of TX residency after a year but decided I wasn’t interested in looking for loopholes). |

Of course not. You haven’t even bothered to read the citations to controlling law that have been provided |
You cannot do that and expect in-state VA benefits. |
