However, the new Outbacks are ugly beyond belief. I will not buy it unless they redesign the car significantly.

What would you recommend for an ex-Subaru driver?

I mean, did you also stop being a lesbian?

What, why the question? Is it supposed to be funny? I do t get it

In the 1980’s, very few companies would sponsor Martina Navratilova because she was gay. Subaru was one of the few. Lesbian and lesbian friendly people supported Subaru as a result. It was the opposite of a boycott.

I have a Forrester and like you I've had it about 8 years and will probably get a new car in about 2 years. I'm pretty set on the CrossTrek, if you are at all interested in a Subaru but smaller.

Had a forester 10 years. Never again.

I've had a Forester for 8 years, and love it.

It's not funny. It's ugly, offensive stereotyping masquerading as funny.

I like Subaru wagons. They've always been good to us. Never had issues with them.

I would rather have a wagon than a SUV. Too bad Audi is phasing out the A4 Allroad as I'd be tempted in that direction. The A6 is too rich for my blood.

I don't drive extensively, probably no more than 8k a year, typically between 6 to 8 k a year these days. I like the acceleration of the 6 horsepower engine though it is probably wasted on me.

I have a volvo wagon and a similar driving profile. I'm not really an SUV person. I love wagons. I can't replace it with anything newer, so I fully intend to drive it until it can't be reasonably repaired. I don't care that it's older. It is in great shape. If yours is, too, you might just keep it until you find something you do really like rather than forcing it.

20 bucks says you're not even lesbian and are offended on someone's behalf.

I love my Volvo XC40 40 if it’s big enough for you. Love it.
Consumer Reports hates it and says people have a lot of problems. So far I have had none.

We usually keep cars for 10 years, but only kept our forester for 8, and we’d already spent many thousands on repairs. Such a disappointing car. We got a Chrysler Pacifica and are very happy, but we haven’t hit the 5 year mark yet.

The original SUVs were labeled as "station wagon". The only difference is the height of the vehicle.

With such low mileage why get a new car? Wait until you see something you likely don't just get a new car because an arbitrary number of years has passed.

And think you mean 6-cylinder, not 6 horsepower.

We’ve had a couple Outbacks. Good cars and they go great in the snow- not that we get a lot of snow anymore. I can’t stand the new 2026 Outbacks! Outbacks, if we are being honest, were never about lookers, but this new version is hideous.

OP, if I was you, I might look at a Crosstrek or Forester. Crosstrek might be a little tight. An option, that’s not a Subaru, would be a new Toyota RAV4. They are redesigned for 2026 and they come in hybrid models.

Subaru is well known to be loved by lesbians.

Not many brands can claim to be beloved by both lesbians and families. I actually love the new Outback, I just wish they made it a hybrid version.

Honey, my lesbian friends joke about their Subarus. It's not offensive. It's a thing. Share the love.
