Why is age measured from birth instead of conception?

So...I've been doing that monthly since 12 and continue to do that into my mid 40s. With the exception of 2 pregnancies...I'm basically a serial killer? This is such a nonsensical take I am ok with that. |

And following the 'conception' logic, every miscarriage, even the earliest one, should be recorded as death. The dead embryo should be given a name, a Social Security number, and then their death at 2 months "post-conception" should be formally acknowledged, with a funeral |
