That kid is 6’9”, both his parents played high major D1, his mom is a professional sportscaster, he has 3 siblings who played D1 basketball, he had connections, and he can flat out play. And that kid went to South Lakes because both his parents went there, his mom was already coaching there, and he lived next to the school.

There is a 6’10” kid at Blake right now with a similar profile, that started at Dematha but transferred back to his local school.

Thanks for bringing in the MUCH needed context

Yep, that’s Christy Winters Scott’s son. She calls all the Mystics games and also hosts the Wizards’ pre-game show on NBC Sports Washington.

Jordan Scott is the first kid and he's from an amazing basketball family and was ranked around 50th in the country among recruits; his mom provides the color commentary for the NCAA women's tournament and the Mystics game, among others.

The second kid is Babatunde Oladuton and he is a top 10 recruit in the country. His dad played for Virginia Tech.

The number 3 recruit in the country is also from the DMV (St. Paul VI, which is the #1 ranked team in the country). This area is just nuts in terms of basketball talent.
