Dang. I'm sure there a lot of Emory Test Optional apps that will be getting admits with SAT's much lower than that (35% TO generally) with similar GPA's. Your DS has good numbers. He will get in somewhere good. Stay patient. |
Someone who likes Emory and also understands that highly selective schools don’t admit just on stats, no matter how good they are. |
This kind of attitude is why so many kids are so stressed out about admissions and “prestige.” Horrible thing to say about a very impressive kid who is headed to an excellent school and is likely thrilled (as he should be) that he just got what he wanted and worked hard to get. |
| There are lots of kids at Emory with 1550+ SAT scores. |
DP. This is a crazy comment whatever higher means. Congrats to kid who got into Emory. Great school! |
No one soars higher than the Eagles!🦅 |
Did no one tell you not to submit that score because it's lower than their mid-50% range? |
Cuz if you checked IP addresses which moderator might do shortly, you'd realize it is the same person responding as different people with fake stats. |
https://www.reddit.com/r/collegeresults/s/PSKds6qBkm Doesn't seem fake to me. |
Exactly |
People still get in with lower than the range, while submitting. |
True but why chance it. You give them a reason to reject you by submitting a score below the ranges. |
Rarely. You have to fill some sort of other niche or hook. |
so you posted there too? do you even know what rsi is? here’s a hint - they go to a specific school for rsi that is actually good at stem |

DS applied last year regular and was waitlisted but this year applied ed 1 and was rejected. We had better scores, ecs, etc. anyone know why this is? 3.9UW 1450. |
