| Congratulations to all the new members of the Tribe! I have two kids there and they absolutely love it! |
|
Mine didn’t ED there but it’s a great school, and I’m hoping the parents of the kids who both submitted an application and reads these posts got good news!
How wonderful for the remainder of the senior year for these students!! |
| Deferred to RD. What should the strategy be now - letter of continued interest in Jan with 2nd quarter grades? |

I know N=only 3 on this thread, but it's certainly very interesting (and encouraging) that all the admits on this thread so far have been test optional!

OOS public (west coast) 3.9/4.6 10 APs 1500 Good ECs Visit, no interview Go Tribe!!!!!! |
I think W&M said something like 40% test optional. They also really like ED-ers. Their slogan is “those who come here, belong here” or something like that. |
Sorry that your wait will be longer, but I hope you get good news with the next notification. I'm no AO, but I think this sounds like a good strategy. I don't think it ever hurts (particularly at a school like WM) to express continued interest. They really do want kids who want to be there, and you never know what might tip the scales. Good luck! |

Welcome to the Tribe!!

In! 3.85 34 ACT out of state son.
No ofer the top ECs. 12 APs. Thrilled. |
| Everyone who keeps mentioning demonstrated interest..... Shouldn't applying ED be all the demonstrated interest that is needed? Obviously, it's different for regular decision. |
I think they are really big on fit. So visiting and interacting is much more indicative of fit than merely applying ED based on stats and paper. But yes, ED is the ultimate DI. |
| Hearing about a lot of deferrels |
