Probably because they can.

I mean, I probably would if I was in my twenties and had a flat, toned mid-section.

But I am 56 and in menopause so can only dream at this point!

I'm 53 and wear them because they fit me better. I have a small waist and bigger hips. I wear my shirts longer and tucked out so it's not obvious they're low-waisted

when I had good abs- low rise jeans were great. where them when you have good abs!
