Health question FCPS

My kids were in ES during the "24 hours with no vomiting" era.

In my kids 3rd grade class, there was a kid that puked every day, and was back at school the next. Rinse, repeat and the kids (shockingly) would get sick one by one.

After two weeks of this, a group of parents called and insisted the kid stay home until he REALLY hadn't thrown up for 24 hours. Amazingly, no one got sick again when the kid started being sent home if he arrived back at school the next morning.

I mean even if you can keep a kid home for one good night sleep and maybe a day it would help everyone. Seems like a short-sighted policy.

Two teacher household here. I don't recall having many issues with lice during my 30 year ES career. I know there were a few instances, but I don't recall it ever being a big problem. My spouse says the same.

My child's second grade class kept getting them it was 2 months of nonsense they finally made the teacher get rid of all her pillows all over the room and it got better. I'm sure it doesn't happen everywhere but it does happen.

Sure, it happens, but not very often.
