Day after Thanksgiving

I mean, that's a choice. You could have a modest, low-key Shabat.

I wouldn’t know, I leave DH and his family with the kids while I shop, go to the spa and spend the night in a hotel, “visiting a friend from out of town.”

I don’t understand why you say you don’t get a break. A break from what?

np here, I do all of the Thanksgiving planing and cooking and take the day-after off. Completely off. I make that known well ahead of time. Not planning anything, haven't shopped for anything. Not thinking one bit, about what there is to eat. Not on my mind. I always need that break.

Whatever they're serving at work.

“Mall run?” Are you writing from 1992?

You stay in your phone. My teen daughters and I love the mall.

What an odd reply. I won’t be “in my phone” that day. I also won’t be at the mall, because it isn’t the 90s.

Not Jewish, but I’m assuming that this PP rolls straight from cooking the Thursday Thanksgiving feast into cooking the Friday Shabbat feast, which sounds exhausting. I’d snarl at anyone who asked me to do anything the day after cooking the Thanksgiving meal for 25.

No rule against TG leftovers for Shabbat (in my house anyways)

Pumpkin pie, with whipped cream, for breakfast.

Pie for breakfast, cold turkey sandwich for lunch (we will have the hot turkey sandwich on Saturday), and not sure about dinner. Sometimes pot pie, sometimes just straight leftovers.

Ok granny. The malls are quite busy these days. Ever been to Tysons?

Not that "granny", but the malls (not necessarily Tysons) seems to be filled with people who didn't get to/have malls in the 90s. American Girl Doll store packed.

We have cousins who do Thanksgiving on Friday as Shabbat!
