GDS and Potomac for Science and Robotics?

Yeah, don't know about robotics, but we've loved the science courses and teachers at GDS. Math as well. Lots of variety, and some serious challenges if you're up for it.

My kids did a robotics competition at Potomac - their program seemed to be pretty good but this was a middle school competition. I am not sure about their high school program.

Wakefield HS in Arlington has a great robotics team that went to Worlds last year. They got a lot of money for equipment from Amazon (since the school is near Amazon's VA HQ). The woman who runs the program is amazing. But if you are considering private schools, Wakefield may not be what you are looking for (which is fine!). Although the right kid can get a good education there.
