First of all, we haven't seen any evidence and even within the FBI there are clear signs that Kash Patel got way out over his skis on this, which is deeply problematic. Also, the elephant in the room is that this administration has been doing so much lying that nobody believes them anymore. So even if there was a real terror threat (and we still don't know how real or how serious it was) nobody is going to believe the administration until clear, undeniable evidence comes out.

The constant lying is a huge liability to this administration and it's something not to be discounted.

Kash Patel used his FBI jet to fly to his girlfriend's (a singer) concert in one state and then used it to fly her home to another state. When this info was leaked to the press, Patel promptly

1) fired a senior FBI official (a 27-year veteran of the bureau) in charge of aviation and

2) asked to halt public tracking of his private FBI jet

Everyone should be outraged by this--even I-voted-for-this MAGAs.
