They are hosting special programs - eg BCC will get both the regional IB and regional humanities magnet |
What are you even talking about? Every school has in-person precalc. |
It's not from scratch as Northwood has a performing arts academy too. |
How large is the council planning to make these magnet programs? From my understanding, most magnet programs have limited capacity. The majority of students at Einstein are part of the Visual and Performing Arts Academy. |
| I can’t seem to find the slides at the moment but I believe that Einstein will be in the only region that separates performing arts magnet from the visual arts. |
|
I believe they’re updating regions and programs. Where is the funding for this coming from? |
| Yeah if they are doing virtual compacted math for ES I would not put it past them to claim they offer AP calc in every school but if you don't pay attention least $1 million for your house it has to be virtual. |
No, they're separate in regions 4 and 5 as well, according to the August presentation. But they're going to be revising the programs for the October meeting. |
This!!! It is absurd that TOK within walking distance doesn’t go to Einstein! |
|
Roll all you want but these are absolutely the vibes they are giving out by taking resources from poor schools and putting them in rich schools |
It's not an issue because they don't know how much it will cost, so no need to worry about how to fund it |
But WJ's in a different region than Einstein, and I don't think they split-articulate across regions. |
What’s interesting is they do it for es but not hs. When they took away the MVA they said virtual was not effective for es. |
