Healthy bread your kids will eat

We mill organic grains at home (I love a blend of hard red wheat/hard white and spelt) and make sourdough loaves. Fantastic! So easy too.

Whole Foods 365 Sprouted Wheat with 21 grains and seeds. It tastes light and not too wheaty. I love the sesame and other seeds in the crust.

Walmart brand whole wheat bread. Cheap and actually close to being whole wheat bread, one of only about 10 actual ones in existence. $2 a loaf.

If you are near on Great Harvest whole wheat is amazing. They are all franchised. I don’t live near the Fairlington location in Alexandria but go about once a month, stock up and freeze them.

I think I got the potato whole wheat bread at Harris teeter and target, maybe I’ve also bought from Walmart/Safeway/Wegmans or even Amazon fresh in the past but unsure. PP here. Harris Teeter is where I used to get it, but now they only carry the regular potato bread and the butter bread.

Actually, looking at the link, I only see the regular potato bread listed on their products list - not the whole wheat variety. Did Martin's stop making it?? That would be a shame.

Look at the ingredients. I don’t think that is what OP considers “heathy bread” regardless of if it has whole wheat. This is cheap, bioengineered, preservative filled bread.

Op, would you be willing to bake your own bread? You can make good sandwich bread with flour salt, yeast, and butter. It’s easy and delicious. I bake my own bread and have been unsuccessfully trying to replicate Dave’s killer bread. It’s delicious!

The Costco walnut cranberry bread is crack. It’s so good. It’s so addicting.
