Op here. I think a friend paid $40/month for flute rental somewhere. Yes, I pay that for once a week group class. I could go a bit cheaper like $33/month for economy rental, but this one is a bit higher quality. We don't know anything about instrument, but I think it should be comparable to other places in my area. Well, it is cheaper than I pay $60 for 30 min of private swim lesson.

$45/month is for the he highest quality violin at Potter’s. This makes a huge difference in quality for kids and orients who have to listen to them. You can def pay less to rent a lower quality violin.
