Umich is the easiest admit by far! |
I think bucket A refers to Caltech's new system, each section 780+. |
True at our school. After ivy day, kids didn't get in ivies accept umich in droves. |
DP: At my kids' school, more than 40% of the class were NMSF or at least commended scholars. So you are making assumptions / diagnoses without a lot of context. Bad idea. |
3.7+, 1560+, earth/geo science with related activities not spiky. |
WashU Cornell CALS |
| 3.7 from STA/NCS/Sidwell with a 3.7 GPA and 1560 SAT is, as others have stated, a target for schools like Wash U, Rice, Cornell. I would not aim higher, as there are hooked kids with lower stats that will get in. If you're concerned, I'd aim for a school with ED that's a tier down - like Tufts, BC, BU. If it is a 3.7 from BCC with those scores, I would definitely be looking at lower-ranked schools as it seems like everyone from BCC has a 4.0. |
