s/o -- what are your kids top 5 Halloween candy choices?

Anonymous
This is fun! I’ll play:

1) sour patch kids
2) jelly sticks that you get from the international grocery store (one house gave these away last year and my kids were obsessed!)
3) M&Ms
4) snickers
5) mounds

Note: Anything with peanut butter is considered gross. My kids will each trade 10+ reeces peanut butter cups for one pack of gummy bears. (And yes, I know there are peanuts in snickers, but it seems that peanut butter is very different.)

DD13 would choose tootsie rolls (but not this year b/c of braces), crunch bars, snickers, reese's peanut m&ms.

DS6 would choose any chocolate. He does not like any fruity or chewy candy or sticky candy.

All my kids go nuts for Kinder chocolate- I have started seeing those this year in the trick or treat mixes but never saw them "in the wild" before on Halloween.

Tootsie Rolls are very unpopular with most kids. People buy those giant bags of the tootsie candies because they are cheap but the kids do not like them. I, however do like them, so my kids have no problem giving them all to me. But I haven't met a kid who likes them.

Tootsie Rolls are horrible and will pull your teeth out.

You said no pretzels, but those are my kids'favorites after the mini packs of:

Oreos
Chips ahoy
Teddy grahams
Goldfish
Smart pop

They'll eat cookies till the cows come home but don't love candy as much. I guess Ghirardelli squares are the favorite chocolate they get at Halloween, then Twix and Recess peanut butter cups.

I have never had a cavity or pulled a tooth out so, not concerned. More for me.

1. Reeses
2. Nutrageous
3. Snickers
4. Take 5
5. Baby Ruth

Anyone who gives out tootsie rolls, plain lollipops, raisins, or any hard candies (especially mints) should be dragged into the streets and beaten with hoses.
