What's the point of college in year 2025?

College is voluntary. Let the marketplace decide. You either buy the product they're selling or you don't. That's how you "hold them accountable."

So why should taxpayers have to fund these institutions?

Oh, and to have a lot of fun.

When people are buried in debt for life, they barely have time to enjoy themselves or reflect on what truly matters.

Buried in debt is optional.

You just proved the point that colleges are pointless, and optional

DP.

Bc these institutions bring massive benefits to society.

My taxes pay for all sorts of things that I don’t personally use, but I’m happy to pay them bc they create a community benefit.

And I in turn benefit from living in a prosperous, safe community.

Good for you—maybe you're one of those who prefer to hire more affordable college graduates from abroad.

That’s social media’s fault. You’re just being exposed to the stupidity more frequently than you would have been in the past.

Just one? Are you sure? Sounds like I’ll need ten different degrees like you —keep pitching!

Get as many as you want. Or don’t. Free country and plenty of paths to happiness and success (and wisdom for that matter).

College is one of them. If it’s right for you, great. If it’s not, also great.

But no point in denying that it is a worthwhile and enjoyable path for some. Right?

Not denying but rather the enjoyable path can be achieved with colleges and debt free
