I don't care if this is a fraction, these positions could be eliminated to add a position locally to a school that would make a much greater impact to students and/or teachers directly. Schools are short staffed and underpaid...Gatehouse is overstaffed and overpaid. And yes, it probably makes sense to split up FCPS. Clearly Reid can't handle managing most of it and just keeps getting raises. It's a great idea and one worth trying. But people love power and I doubt Reid or the Board would even consider it. |
OK but the executive principal position for the literacy stuff was actually created before the VLA was passed - and it was done under Brabrand. I know because that principal came from our ES. |

Those are completely different positions with different responsibilities. |
To be fair the local privates all do pretty extensive marketing. That said, I don't know that the FCPS marketing department needs to be huge. |

But, the social media team is much, much larger than that. In fact, the only thing Reid has brought here is the ability to increase social media. She's great at that. The content is not so great and educating the kids is not so great, but she is great at slick media. |
