I buy stuff I personally like so I can snack on it:

Eh, we'll just buy a few bags of mixed candy at Costco. Whatever they're selling.

So I’m dumping all of the little containers of slime and sticky hands and glow sticks and glow rings and loose Pokemon cards and this that and the other things into my bowl this year and the kids can pick.

So you're giving out year-old candy? Gross.

Trying to find candy with red dyes. May be the last year it will be available and don’t want them to miss out. .

Candy used to be a treat. Now kids have candy in their lunchboxes everyday at school.

Omg shut up

Your children will have eating disorders

And elitist to think that all kids have lunchboxes much less with candy.

Relax

A bigger concern is whether everyone will curate culturally-sensitive and appropriate costumes for their children this year.

We don't get ToT at our house out in the country but I do participate in a Trunk or Treat at our church. My theme is space exploration so I give out Milky Way bars and a space shuttle glider kit and glow bracelets.
