Disappointing SAT score

Less pressure. My recently graduated kid prepped for the ACT over the summer before Junior year, took the test early September and was done. Older sibling got a good score doing the same thing, but wanted better. Took pre-calc Junior year and the ACT again in July before senior year. Ended up with a great superstore. Neither kid prepped during the school year.

My DD took the August SAT before junior year. Scored a 1390. Although she didn’t do as well she wanted to on the SAT, the prep must’ve been helpful for the PSAT, because she has qualified as a national merit semifinals. She studied pretty intensely over the summer and took again this past August. Scored a 1460. I know she did not break 1500, but we are very happy with the score. My oldest daughter also did best on the August SAT prior to senior year. Something in the water on that August test for our family.
