What skills you regret not teaching your kids?

I learned this as part of an assignment in AP US History in high school (really not the best way to spend AP course time, but that's a different issue). Even if they are adults, there's still time.

Then have them learn the updated version by Fall Out Boy, though that one's less fun because it's not chronological.

Based on what I see from my 20-something nieces and nephews, you can only teach this so well. My siblings-in-law are great at teaching it, but the kids are savers and spenders depending on their personality, not on what they've been taught.

This is true. My kids spending habits are completely in line with their personalities. We model spending money wisely and thinking about how to stretch a dollar, but one of the kids could not care less, the daughter. The two sons are different.

Yes. It was totally disallowed in some local public schools. Cursive will end up being a socio-economic differentiator among current teens/twenty somethings.

Wow. My kids have all been taught cursive and use it every day. Middle schoolers now.

I will, however, be involved when it comes to finances. They will not make the same mistakes I made. They will max out Roth every year they work, stay away from 401k, (but also HSA, HYSA, real estate) and keep their credit score safe.

You’ll have them stay away from HSA, HYSA, real estate? Why? And what’s HYSA?
