Best fall fest farm in dmv

Homestead farms is great.

The advice to go on a day off seems good but be careful. I went to Cox Farms on an FCPS holiday last year and it was like its own circle of hell. So crowded with both parents doing the same thing I was and field trips from daycares!

Cox farm is just a fall fest with your standard cider/donuts/pumpkins/hayrides/corn maze.

Great Country Farms has all of that plus a million playgrounds, trampolines, roaming goats, chickens and goats, and pick your own.

We love Great Country Farms and IMO it is worth the extra drive most years. However, this year they are not doing PYO apples, which was a total bummer. We usually went in early Sep and picked apples & sunflowers and did the whole Fall Fest all in one day.

Krop's Crops has a little fall festival that's perfect for toddlers in Great Falls. Older kids might be bored. Hayrides, decorations, pumpkins, sometimes some farm animals. Very low-key. http://www.kropscrops.com/

Not this year. It burned down.

We have been to Summers, Butler, and Gaver many times over the year. We are thinking of making the drive to Cox Farms. Is it worth the drive? Is it much better than the farms I listed. We’d be driving from Maryland.
