the police don’t have to even inform the public about thr disposition of a case. Avery Miler murdered Aryeh Wolf in DC. Miler was a fugitive and got into a gunfight with dc police. He apparently died from wounds but his body wasn’t found for months. Dc police were informed but they didn’t tell the public . I stumbled across Miler’s obituary, informed local news then stories started coming out saying wanted suspect was found dead

The suspect was stopped by USPP in April on the B-W Parkway, charged with a DUI and various other infractions (including operating a vehicle with a suspended license), and then was released (allowed to drive off?) pending trial.

The article says that the driver had a DC driver license issued in 2015 (that was suspended). The article implies that it was a REAL ID, but I doubt that was the case.

Lots of questions to be answered here.
