I fully expect there’s going to be way more of these cases. Duffy, Zeldin and Chavez-DeReimer are fairly average citizens compared to the billionaires that dominate Trump’s cabinet.

That's because it is legal for people who equally split time between residences and/or are on the road a lot.

The only time its illegal is when you declare "primary" residence when you intend to rent out the property on a full-time basis. The "intent" element is key for securing a conviction.

Btw, Marilyn Mosby's mortgage fraud conviction was just overturned a few months ago by the appeals court. That "fraud" was really tortured - basically she wired $5K to her husband, he turned around and provided the $5K to the transaction and submitted a "gift letter." The "gift letter" was fake, but its not clear why they even bothered with it!

What is your point? It’s not Bill Pulte. Pulte is now trying to have a US Attorney in Virginia fired, because DOJ didn’t find any evidence that Tish James committed mortgage fraud and has determined that’s a federal case that should not be prosecuted.

Pulte has been successful at convincing Trump that his lies are true, seemingly. Not so successful at producing evidence that James actually did anything wrong.
