On a FB page I’m on, a kid heard back from Ole Miss, Miss State & ASU.

rolling admissions w admission coming back in 1-2wks

Not prestigious but solid admits for her kid’s stats

I looked up the Harvard football kid I know. Offer came in January of senior year. Along w other offers.I know this because of public instagram posts. Maybe that's not official enough

I know how the systems works. It's not official and no one should be announcing anything.

commits are quite official. it's as common for these to go south as it is for a kid to get admitted and then have the offer rescinded. but we dont get mad when kids post after ED or even RD without waiting for full high school diploma reviewed and okayed

My son is not a candidate for any elite colleges but he did submit college apps to a few small schools in August and already has 2 college admits.

Had an athlete at our school post that she committed to Dartmouth. She was rejected and quite heartbroken.

Agree with OP, this happens - someone at our school posted in junior year about committing to Brown for a sports team. She got in, but I would be worried about posting something and then getting rejected.
