Correct, apologies for the misspelling. I did mean kataifi, the shredded phyllo dough. |
| Not actually from Dubai. Says product of turkiye. 18g of added sugar in one piece. They are everywhere nowadays |
Baked Alaska isn't from Alaska. |

Target had these strawberry Dubai chocolate on sale so I thought of trying them.
They tasted gross - no pistachio flavor, just a crunchy gooey filling with too much sugar and the strawberry chocolate part was also meh. Brand is Nutty Fruity and is a product of Turkey. Aldi's pistachio filled milk chocolate tasted so much better |
| World Market has several kinds of Dubai chocolate. |
| I saw a small bar of it at Safeway; it was with the easter candy. There was a Lindt bar for $10 (or something like that) and then another brand; same size, but it was $4. I got the $4 one, and it was delicious. The bars were very small, about 4 squares. It was my first time trying it, and I've been craving more ever since. |
| So gross! It's the worst invention ever! |
| I don't like the texture and find it overly sweet |
| I bought a couple small bars at the Dollar Tree it wasn’t bad |
It’s fine not to like it, but it’s not some bizarre invention. It’s a modern chocolate bar inspired by Middle Eastern dessert traditions (like pistachio and knafeh); social media just made it trendy. |
| Seems there’s knockoffs everywhere now, what are the original good ones and where can you still get those? |
