Complete madness for kids at U13 and U14 not getting playing time almost equally They are at pure development stage How are players not getting minutes but are expected to get better and contribute? |
|
Our AD team has 19 registered - which I think will work out ok over time as our U15 team prior year always had minimum 1 kid hurt or sick or unable to come to a game.
The one concern I have is the HG team above, and whether their unrostered kids will bump down each week so 3-4 kids from AD will be unrostered instead of 1. Only time will tell. The sub rules are important as well, above U15 will it be pro rules? Once out, out for the game? |
wtf is AD and HG? |
U15 and up things start to get different |
They’re getting minutes on a different team (2nd teams that are not over rostered). But that’s just our club. I have no idea what other clubs are doing. |
In their great wisdom MLS decided instead of making their two tiers - MLSN1 and MLSN2 - that the top tier (p2p and actual mls club academy teams) would be known as the Homegrown Division and the second tier which is new and yet to settle at where it fits in the competitive landscape will be known as the Academy Division. Dumb? Yes. Confusing? Also Yes. |
wow wtf |
So they are taking play time from some of the 2nd team players. |
I think the 2nd team is rostered to expect that there are 1st team members who will play with them regularly. |
| NP here - our son is new to MLS Next. Do they have a date by which they send out schedules in terms of regular season games as well as 2025-2026 tournaments? TIA! |
Its just MLS Next and mls next 2 |
We have been told schedules will be finalized by the 20th |
What’s really dumb are homers that conflate ECNL with MLSNext. It’s not MSLN, it’s MLSNext. You’re welcome. |
And the dilution begins. Already Next 2 teams signing up for tournaments claiming to be Next. If Flex has both good luck. What a cluster. |
Who gives a sht. It’s MLSN. That’s how acronyms work ya dildo. |
