But I can appreciate that it’s a massive double standard that someone who is already privileged (most American educated doctors come from UMC+ backgrounds… I said most not all) and is graduating into the highest paid profession in the country gets some special treatment by banks. Because doctors are relatively unique in their typically massive educational debt compared to their massive earning potential. It's not the same for the professions you mentioned.

This is a pretty safe bet for the banks. That's why they do it. Take your complaint to them.

Imagine having the gall to be a lobbyist of all professions, having your parents pay for everything, and then complaining about someone in a profession that benefits society getting help.

I was in commercial lending and we also had different rules for drs setting up practices. They could get a 50k business loan at inception of the business with a clean personal guarantee- no other industry would allow that for a business with under 2 yrs let alone not even open. Dentists have similar.

It’s not bonkers- it’s risk assessment.
