| It has been several years but the owner took a percentage of all electronic tips, but not any cash tips received. A percentage was also given to other employees on shift. |
What a strange bubble you must live in. Cash is king for tips. |
Not carrying cash make someone an a hole??? Also, why does someone get a tip for ringing me up and pouring my drink into a cup? Is there anyway they could possibly do that better or worse than anyone else such that it deserves a “tip“? Arent tips for people that make below minimum wage and provide service? |

Our family owns a hair salon, and the amount of the electronic tip gets noted for each individual stylist. My family takes none of that. |
They don't. You don't seem to understand the reasons for tipping. That's not one of them. |
Then why do places like sweet frog, five guys, etc. have a tip jar? They’re getting paid minimum wage at least. I’d rather tip a lifeguard than the dodo at sweet frog. He just sits there and weighs my ice cream. |
Same reason bums on the street hold out their hand. There are plenty of suckers out there who give them money for nothing. I expect at least a dance or jig from them. |
Why on earth would you ever tip at sweet frog? You literally do all the work yourself. At five guys at least they are making to food. But I still don’t tip. That’s fast food and I don’t tip for that. |
