They should have one for the central office staff. They are constantly swimming in the pool of sh*t. |
The cost is only one barrier. Many low income parents work during the hours that swim classes are available. |
Umm, if you can't tell the difference between marine training and MCPS there is no hope for you. Those two are definitely the same thing. . . |
How did they do it? Tampons? Many young girls aren't comfortable with those. |
They have them on Saturdays and Sundays too. There's an email my school's PTA sends out about support available for low-income families who might want to take part in classes. OP, I'm glad your kid's school is so wonderful that your biggest problem is not having swim lessons on site. My kid's school is scarily overcrowded. I'm more concerned with my kid getting a proper academic foundation given that class size is so huge and the teacher's attention naturally goes to those who are the most problematic. |
Same. I always seemed to have it first thing in the morning so the rest of the day was rushed and my hair and back of my uniform was always damp. Gross. |
I had my period VERY frequently in HS. Not really but if you told the swim instructor you did, you could skip swimming. Lol. |
What are you talking about? They are nights and weekends. You are making excuses for your parenting and blaming others. |
They don’t want to take their kids so use others as talking points. https://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/rec/howto/recassist.html |
They could do it with a cap but water still gets in a cap. |
What autism programs. Mcps got rid of one a few years ago. Some probably could not tolerate the water. How about using the money to expand autism programs. |
I think you had your period about once a month in HS. |
Often if their own making |
When I was growing up swimming was a PE requirement in NYS once a year starting in 4th until you earned your Red Cross Intermediate card. The difference was that all the High Schools had indoor swimming pools. Even so, you had to take a bus from ES or MS to HS. Also, school issued bathing suits, color coded by size - ewww! |
I was joking. Geez. We all lied about having our periods to get out of swimming class. The teacher never kept records. |
