4 kids? No, no. 1 kids, 2 parents, 2 grandparents. Kid and grandparents also needed a nap and leisurely pace at times. |
| We often do two connecting room - two beds in one room and a king in the other. As kids got older we have moved to two rooms with kings and either pullout or rollaway, and one kid sleeps in our room. |
Family of 6 here and I agree with the above. Depending on where you go, we like timeshare resort condo places. |
| You get 2 rooms with one parent in each of course |
6 people in one hotel room is also not a vacation, what are you smoking lol. |
Trip vs vacation, who cares what you call it. Our “vacation” is not defined by the sleeping arrangements. Separate rooms on a cruise or at an amusement park counts is a great vacation for us. |
By the time they’re five, we let the kids have one room themselves. |
If we’re in a hotel we only sleep in the room anyway. Or if you’re having movie time or something you can all just come to one of them. |
| Suites or two queens and a pullout couch. IMO one bathroom for 6 people is too much so we prefer a suite with connecting rooms. |
I just booked a 2 bedroom suite at a Residence Inn, and it has 2 bathrooms. |
Some hotel rooms have 2 bathrooms. We’ve had rooms at embassy suites and other brands with two bathrooms. You can call the hotel directly to ask. |
| Pull a Home Alone and leave some at home. This is why we decided to stop at two kids. |
Why are you even commenting on this thread then? You sound spoiled. |
I was just going to say the same thing. Title clearly reads "4 kids" so why post about 4 ADULTS and 1 kid?? |

We only have two kids. When they were younger any regular hotel room would work. Now we need a suite. Suite, not to be confused with something fancy, but something with two beds and a pull out couch. Embassy Suites are our favorite, but I think Homewood Suites also works. Hampton Inns will have suites, but these are usually smaller rooms.
Four kids, like the OP, would be tough. It requires two hotel rooms, which can be pricey, but having four kids is expensive, so maybe they're used to shelling out $$$. |
